For a long time, I believed productivity started when work started.
As a founder, I thought success came from working harder, longer, and pushing through fatigue.
But over time, I noticed a pattern.
The days that felt productive usually had one thing in common: a good morning.
And the bad days?
They often started badly before I even opened my laptop.
The Productivity Problem Wasn't Work
Like many people, I blamed my lack of focus on work pressure.
Too many emails.
Too many meetings.
Too many responsibilities.
But the real problem was much simpler.
My mornings lacked structure.
I'd wake up at different times.
I'd rush.
I'd react to messages.
I'd start the day feeling behind.
The result?
Lower energy.
Poor decisions.
More stress.
What Changed
I didn't build a complicated routine.
I focused on the first 20 minutes.
Today, my morning looks something like this:
1. Wake Up At The Same Time
Consistency beats motivation.
A predictable wake-up time removes hundreds of small decisions.
2. Drink 1 Litre Of Water
After a night's sleep, hydration is one of the simplest ways to wake up both body and mind.
3. Move The Body
For me, that's often tennis.
For someone else, it could be walking, stretching, yoga, or a short workout.
The goal isn't athletic performance.

The goal is momentum.
4. Eat Something Useful
A handful of nuts.
A healthy breakfast.
Fuel before focus.
5. Take A Proper Shave
This might sound strange coming from a shaving company founder.
But grooming isn't vanity.
It's preparation.
When I look sharper, I show up differently.
A good shave creates a small but meaningful shift in confidence.
Why Small Habits Matter
Most people look for dramatic changes.
But life rarely changes dramatically.
It changes gradually.
One better morning becomes one better day.
One better day becomes one better week.
One better week becomes one better year.
Own Your Morning. Own Your Day.
You don't need a perfect routine.
You need a repeatable one.
Start small.
Wake up on time.
Drink water.
Move your body.
Take care of yourself.
The first 20 minutes may not solve every problem.
But they can change the way you approach every problem that follows.
