We bring to you Pink Woolf – the wisdom of a time tested wet shaving regimen.
On the Face – Take a small amount of the shaving cream and apply to your chin area. Dip the shaving brush in warm water for a minute, squeeze out the excess and start spreading it with the brush in circular motion. Once leather develops, space it out to the rest of the beard area for optimal shaving.
In A Shaving Bowl – Take a small amount of the shaving cream and add 2-3 drops of water to it. Start generating lather in circular motion for about 30 seconds. If you want the lather to be thick, then keep circulating for a minute and add cream or water as required. Then apply the lather to your face and spread it out evenly with a shaving brush.
In Hand – Take a small amount of the shaving cream and apply to the palm of your left hand (if right handed). Add 2-3 drops of water and start generating lather in circular motion till you get a thick lather. Apply the lather to your face and spread it out evenly with a shaving brush.
It’s also a good idea to thoroughly clean a brush before its first use, too.
New natural bristle shaving brushes can have an unpleasant smell for the first couple weeks of use, depending on how the brush was manufactured.
A good cleaning beforehand will knock that scent down to an acceptable level right off the bat. Even cleaning one of the new breeds of synthetic hair shaving brushes may be a good idea, just in case there is some kind of residue left over from the manufacturing process.
All your shaving brush needs is love and regular 4 step cleanups.
1. Wet brush in warm water before use
2. Rinse with water after use
3. Pat dry
4. Store Upside down
